  • Cleaning up after the party I hosted last night, because it means my friends were here.

A daily reminder of gratitude!

  • Reconnecting with my childhood friends.  They remind me where I came from.
  • Having The Trailblazer home for the summer.
  • Watching the squirrels playing on (and in) the treehouse.
  • My new “Gratitude” chalkboard.  I try to write on it every day to remind me to be thankful.
  • Letting The Caboose sleep late.
  • Watching Slick grow taller.
  • Having Mr. Wonderful by my side.

Summer Lovin’

Here are a few of the things I’m Lovin’ these days.

  • Breakfast with The Trailblazer before he leaves for work.
  • Letting the other kids sleep late and wake up happy.
  • Not having to do homework.
  • Pretty blossoms on my crepe myrtle trees.
  • Finding out I don’t need knee surgery.
  • Watching the birds in the backyard.
  • Watching the squirrels in the backyard.
  • Cooking big because there’s no homework!
  • Finding time to work on my book.
  • Not having to do homework (repeated for emphasis).
  • Continuing to learn and grow.
  • And (of course) Neutrogena SPF 100+ sunscreen!

Here are a few things I’m Lovin’ these days. (In no particular order of importance.)

  • Sleeping late.
  • Phone calls from friends.  Even though I’ve lost my voice.
  • Serving God.
  • Serving my family.  Even my MIL.
  • SPF 100+ sunscreen.
  • White wine, served in a chilled glass.
  • My son’s anticipation of his new school.
  • NO HOMEWORK!
